  • Adanna Mogbo

    Adanna Mogbo is an undergraduate at Penn studying under the Vagelos' Life Sciences Management Program on the pre-medical track. Passionate about women's health and health privacy in a post-Roe America, Adanna is interested in exploring the current state of digital health privacy today and its future implications as America navigates this new era. Her past research work included researching the effectiveness of apneic oxygenation efforts for pediatric ICU patients at Arkansas' Children's Hospital, in which her and her colleagues' work was published in the Critical Care Medicine Journal in January 2021.

  • Kathryn Moon

    Kathryn Moon is an undergraduate student at The Wharton School pursuing an Economics degree with a Chemistry minor. She is considering pursuing a career in healthcare after graduation and is eager to explore various medical topics, most recently within the realm of digital health privacy. Earlier in her undergraduate career, Kathryn worked with Dr. Friedman on a project to identify potentially high-risk abdominal presentations in the emergency department. In this role, she came to better understand health care systems and the ways in which data can be leveraged to improve clinical pathways.

  • Saloni Shah

    Saloni Shah is a dental student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she is pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine. She graduated from Drexel University in March 2021, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Science in Biological Sciences and minored in Psychology. As she pursues her DMD degree at Penn, she is eager to expand her interests in improving healthcare inequities far beyond the classroom, which inspired her to conduct health inequities and policies research through the LDI Summer Fellowship Program.

    During SUMR, Shah is working on two research projects, The first project with Holly Fernandez Lynch, JD, MBe. The second project with Ari Friedman, MD PhD, and Matthew McCoy, PhD, focuses on advancing research and policies to address privacy and discrimination risks associated with the collection and use of health-related digital data.

    At her dental school, Saloni is involved in the executive board for organizations including the Oral Cancer Walk, American Student Dental Association, as well as the Indian Student Dental Association. In her free time, Saloni enjoys choreographing dances, watching Marvel movies, and creating new vegetarian recipes

  • Angela Wu

    Angela graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Bioethics program at the Perelman School of Medicine with a joint JD/MBE in 2022. She is currently working in corporate transactional law in New York City. Angela’s academic interests include data privacy law and health technology, and she was honored to work with Dr. Friedman and Dr. McCoy on a research project involving online tracking technology and user consent in the healthcare sphere during her time at Penn.
